Following his freshman season, Flagg transferred to Montverde Academy from Nokomis Regional High School in Newport, Maine, after becoming the first freshman to be named the Maine Gatorade Player of the Year after averaging 20.5 points, 10 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 3.7 steals and 3.7 blocks per game.
Flagg averaged 9.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game as a sophomore. In his final high school season, he averaged 16.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.7 blocks per game. He led the Eagles to a perfect 34-0 record and the eighth national championship in program history.
Playing for the Nike EYBL League, he averaged 26.8 points, 12.4 rebounds, 5.2 blocks, and 4.7 assists per game. Flagg also played in the Nike Hoop Summit and other high school all-star games, including the McDonald’s All-American game.

Flagg was born on Dec. 6, 2006, making him 17 years old. As a freshman, Flagg will turn 18 during the 2024-25 college basketball season. He won’t turn 19 until he’s a couple of months into his NBA career during the 2025-26 NBA season
