Tee Higgins is going to have a big market in free agency this offseason. There are going to be many NFL teams who are looking for a star wide receiver.

It would be a mistake for the Cincinnati Bengals to not retain him. Cincinnati would be smart to bring him back and keep him with Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase moving forward. However if not, teams like the Washington Commanders, Los Angeles Chargers, Green Bay Packers, and some others could snag him in free agency this offseason.

There is no doubt that the Washington Commanders will need another wide receiver to go along with Terry McLaurin. Jayden Daniels will be entering his second NFL season. The33rdteam.com writer Tyler Brooke mentioned that Tee Higgins could be a potential landing spot for the Commanders. Brooke said:

“Going from one former LSU star quarterback to another might be a viable option for Higgins and one that Washington Commanders fans would be thrilled to see.

Jayden Daniels has emerged as the frontrunner for Rookie of the Year with a sensational start to his NFL career. He’s quickly established a strong connection with Terry McLaurin, who is on pace for the best season of his six-year career.

However, the Commanders don’t have another established star at receiver, and Higgins brings a completely different skill set to McLaurin. While the current Commanders’ No. 1 target is a smooth separator, Higgins is a big-bodied, twitchy outside wide receiver with terrific body control.

The Commanders don’t necessarily need another star wide receiver to survive. They’re one of the top teams in the league in terms of pass success rate and EPA per dropback.

Still, giving Daniels a prototype at both Z and X receiver could make the Commanders’ offense even more dangerous. They have the financial flexibility to make it happen as well, with nearly $100 million in expected cap space for 2025.”

Higgins last season caught 73 passes for 911 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns, along with averaging 12.5 yards per reception. He also was targeted 109 times last season with the Cincinnati Bengals. The Washington Commanders signing him this offseason would be a big-win for this franchise.

BATON ROUGE, LA – LSU Tigers women’s basketball star Aneesah Morrow was overcome with emotion Thursday night as she accepted the prestigious Pericous Maxwell Award for Excellence. The award, named in honor of the late LSU coach Pericous Maxwell, recognizes outstanding contributions to women’s basketball both on and off the court.

Morrow’s journey to this honor has been marked by exceptional achievements. Earlier this season, she became just the eighth player in NCAA Division I history to surpass 2,500 career points and 1,500 career rebounds. As of February 6, 2025, she has recorded 97 double-doubles, placing her second in NCAA DI history. Notably, she recently surpassed former LSU star and two-time WNBA champion Sylvia Fowles to claim the sixth spot for most rebounds in NCAA DI history, with 1,571 and counting.

Jayden Daniels, the former LSU quarterback, has been named the Associated Press (AP) NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year following a stellar debut season with the Washington Commanders. In his inaugural NFL season, Daniels showcased remarkable versatility and leadership:

– Passing: He completed 69% of his passes, accumulating 3,568 yards and 25 touchdowns against 9 interceptions.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – LSU head football coach Brian Kelly says he and his program love former defensive back Greg Brooks Jr., but Kelly likewise took issue by the way he was portrayed in a recent Good Morning America report on Brooks.

In the piece, Kelly was said to be disengaged and disinterested in Brooks since a very serious and traumatic brain surgery he underwent in September of 2023.

Kelly adamantly refuted those claims and took issue with his character and compassion being drawn into question.

Kelly led off his press conference Wednesday with a statement over three minutes long addressing Brooks Jr. and the national piece.

The press conference was initially scheduled to discuss LSU’’s transfer portal signees and the Tigers new staff members.
